3SeaDiligence Platform Discontinued as MACN Shifts Strategic Direction
From January 2025, MACN’s 3SeaDiligence platform has been discontinued in its current form, and transitioned into a new strategic direction. Over the past years, MACN has observed increased competition in the due diligence market, with many members adopting diverse systems. This dynamic has made it challenging to support and scale a single platform effectively. As a result, 3SeaDiligence will pivot toward a new strategic direction. Its refined focus will be on capacity building for third parties and better alignment with the changing needs of MACN members, especially in the area of due diligence.
To address the challenges and member needs identified, MACN will focus on developing a standardized due diligence questionnaire which will be easily accessible for all members providing a foundation that members can rely on regardless of the platform provider they use. This standardization could simplify and streamline due diligence processes effectively, and support suppliers who want to rely and refer to this questionnaire when complying with customers’ due diligence requirements.
Further, we will work with business partners and suppliers in the associate membership format which will be launched in 2025. This new membership will offer capacity building and knowledge sharing which were one of the value propositions with 3SeaDiligence. Marcura remains a partner in the work MACN is doing, particularly supporting in screening new potential associate members. MACN and Marcura will work together to ensure that the current version of 3SeaDiligence is discontinued as appropriate.
