Addressing Corruption Challenges in Maritime Operations: Port Klang Case Study
Our latest analysis of anti-corruption efforts at Port Klang shows that reported incidents have declined by 63% since 2020. While progress has been made through collaborative approaches and digitalization efforts, such as the Malaysian Maritime Single Window, the journey toward integrity in port operations continues. We would like to sincerely thank and acknowledge Port Klang Authority for their continued support and collaboration, which has been pivotal to the progress achieved.
This aligns with our ongoing Port Integrity Campaign, launched in February 2025, which aims to empower local stakeholders to “Say No” to facilitation payments and further strengthen transparency measures. We’re engaging with shipping associations and port stakeholders to build on existing momentum. To know more about our work in Malaysia, visit our country page: https://macn.dk/malaysia/
