Empowering Indonesia’s Next Generation of Seafarers
Indonesia is taking important steps to strengthen integrity in the maritime sector, and we are seeing great progress and commitment from key stakeholders in supporting this agenda.
Recently, MACN signed a distribution agreement to roll out the Next Generation of Seafarers’ Integrity Training, a significant step toward equipping future maritime professionals with the tools and knowledge to stand firmly against corruption.
As part of this initiative, MACN also delivered an introductory lecture on Maritime Anti-Corruption to more than 200 engaged cadets at SEKOLAH TINGGI ILMU PELAYARAN (STIP), Jakarta. We extend our sincere thanks to Principal Dr. Capt. Tri Cahyadi and the Senior Management team at STIP for their warm hospitality and continued support.
Why does this matter?
Corruption continues to pose serious risks to safety, security, and sustainability in the maritime industry. To tackle this challenge, we must start with awareness and education. This training program – concise, practical, and aligned with international standards – is designed to help cadets recognize unethical practices and build the confidence to respond with integrity.
Together, we’re shaping a maritime future led by transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership.
