MACN at the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Global Conference
MACN attended the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Global Conference in Brussels, joining governments, companies and civil society working across the mining, minerals, oil and gas sectors to discuss transparency, anti-corruption and responsible supply chains.
The conference was a valuable opportunity to connect with MACN members and partners, build new relationships with companies, governments and international organisations, and position MACN’s work on port integrity and collective action within the wider responsible supply-chain agenda.
Discussions highlighted the importance of looking across the full supply chain, including the role of ports and maritime trade in ensuring commodities move through global markets efficiently, transparently and with integrity. For MACN, this provides a strong basis for continued engagement with the extractives sector and its partners.
