MACN Engages with New Leadership at Ghana Maritime Authority
Last week, MACN introduced its work in Ghana to the newly appointed leadership of the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA) through two important meetings.
In Accra, Maria Gowon, Kasper Nielsen, along with our local partner, Soji Apampa, had the honour of meeting Dr. Kamal-Deen Ali, GMA’s new Director General, and his administration.
In parallel, Cecilia Müller Torbrand and Vivek Menon welcomed the GMA delegation – led by Deputy Director General Mr. Mubarick Masawudu – to MACN’s Copenhagen office, accompanied by Director Technical Captain Abdul Nasir Inusah, Deputy Director Maritime Services Ms. Barbara Darko, and Ms. Elise Bunzel from the Danish Maritime Authority.
In both meetings, MACN shared insights into our mission to eliminate corruption in the maritime industry and reflected on the strong, productive collaboration with GMA over the past three years.
These reciprocal visits highlight the value of open dialogue and collective action in driving real progress. We look forward to our continued work together for a fairer, more transparent maritime industry.
