MACN Joins Global Dialogue on Maritime Integrity at LISW25
The MACN team was proud to take part in several important discussions during London International Shipping Week 2025 (LISW25) last week!
Our CEO, Cecilia Müller Torbrand, and our Lead for West & Central Africa, Maria Gowon, joined a range of conversations that underscored the importance of collaboration in shaping the future of maritime trade. From exploring regulatory developments in Egypt, to discussing collective action against bribery and corruption, to reflecting on Africa’s maritime opportunities and challenges, the sessions highlighted the direct and hidden costs of corruption, and how interconnected our sector truly is. Each dialogue reinforced that progress depends not just on compliance, but on building trust, fostering transparency, and aligning efforts across markets and regions.
A big thank you to our hosts, Eldib Pandi, Control Risks, the TIPS Network, Akabogu & Associates, and the wider maritime community for the constructive dialogue and shared commitment. We leave LISW25 energized to continue building solutions together.
