MACN Launches Integrity Lecture Series for Cadets at Odessa Maritime Academy
Future seafarers will face complex operational, legal, and ethical challenges. Preparing them starts before a seafarer steps onboard a vessel.
In Ukraine, MACN and its local partner, ANK Law Office, have launched a series of lectures for cadets at the National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”.
The program covers key maritime topics, including integrity and corruption risks that seafarers may face during their careers. Cadets learn about transparency, responsible decision-making, and how to report corruption concerns. They also learn about MACN’s work to reduce corruption risks in maritime operations.
The lecture series will continue over the coming months, with upcoming sessions covering corruption challenges in ports and other practical issues relevant to future seafarers.
