MACN Welcomes 120 Participants at the Fall Members Meeting
MACN was delighted to welcome 120 participants to the annual Fall Members Meeting in Dubai on November 29-30, 2022. The meeting covered a mix of plenary sessions and workshops. On the first day, members had a chance to take part in breakout sessions together with MACN’s local partners who are supporting and implementing actions on the ground in Argentina, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, India, and Bangladesh. Members also had an opportunity to hear from the Suez Canal Authority on the integrity work that is done in the Suez Canal. Further, members discussed incident data reporting in workshop format.
The sessions and discussions on the second day revolved around MACN’s 2030 Strategy and the importance of teambuilding in- house and across the supply chain. The second day also included a keynote panel on the new IMO guide on tackling maritime corruption as well as a discussion on corruption risks during Port State Control inspections. Finally, MACN launched its third party risk management platform called Sea3Diligence.
