MACN’s Associate Director Speaks at the World Bank’s Anti-Corruption for Development (AC4D) Global Forum

MACN’s Associate Director, Martin Benderson, was invited to the Anti-Corruption for Development (AC4D) Global Forum hosted by the World Bank Group as a plenary speaker in Washington on 26-27 June. The plenary highlighted the role private sector leaders play in setting a good example in fostering collective action on controlling corruption, including discussions on compliance, detection, and innovation in corruption prevention. The forum brought together about 150 partners, leaders, and practitioners from different international development organizations working on integrity. Martin presented MACN’s methodology to eliminate corruption and raise the bar on compliance in the maritime industry, showcasing MACN as one of the leading examples of how the private sector can take action against corruption.
