MACN’s Private Sector Engagement Continues in Tamil Nadu
As part of its continued outreach across key Indian port cities, MACN hosted its second private sector event in Tamil Nadu – home to India’s second-longest coastline and a vital maritime gateway.
This gathering brought together local stakeholders and MACN members to exchange experiences, discuss compliance practices, and advance anti-corruption efforts in the maritime sector. The event opened with a video message from Jesper Kristensen, Group CEO of Synergy Marine Group, reaffirming MACN’s mission to eliminate corruption and align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Ms. Sindhu P Kavinamannil, Head of Global Ethics & Compliance at Inchcape Shipping, shared how MACN membership enhances compliance and delivers value across maritime operations. The event also marked the soft-launch of MACN’s Associate Membership program, aimed at engaging SMEs – a critical part of the maritime value chain – in Collective Action.
MACN would like to thank Synergy Marine Group, Capt. Abdul Sami and Capt. Sachin Srivasatva for your kind hospitality as hosts for this event. And also to Inchcape Shipping, Adani Ports & SEZ, CMMI Chennai Chapter and all attendees for their active participation, valuable contributions and support in making this event a success.
