Members are welcomed at the Fall Members Meeting in Mumbai by IMO Secretary General, Kitack Lim and Admiral Osama Mounier Mohamed Rabie (SCA)

MACN welcomed 125 participants at the MACN’s Fall Member Meeting, held at the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower in Mumbai on September 27 – 28, 2023. The day before, on September 26, we met for a very well-received India Curtain Raiser Event where MACN’s work in India was highlighted. We were delighted to welcome public and private sector stakeholders, including diplomatic representatives and maritime training institutes.

The Member Meeting covered a mix of plenary sessions, exercises, and workshops. The meeting commenced with a video welcome from the IMO Secretary General, Kitack Lim as well as a virtual greeting from Admiral Osama Mounier Mohamed Rabie from the Suez Canal Authority. The virtual greeting from Admiral Rabie focused on the collaboration between the Suez Canal Authority and MACN and the protocol between the Suez Canal Authority and MACN which was just signed. The protocol has specific activities outlined to further strengthen the work between the two parties.
