Next Generation of Seafarers Training Comes to the Philippines!
The next generation of seafarers is already taking a stand against corruption!
This week, MACN’s Kasper Nielsen visited Lyceum International Maritime Academy (LIMA) to support the rollout of MACN’s Next Generation of Seafarers training, delivered in partnership with the Norwegian Training Center.
Meeting Executive Dean Capt. Alexander Gonzales, his faculty, and the LIMA cadets was an inspiring reminder of why this work matters. Together, they explored how corruption undermines safety, welfare, and fairness at sea, and what it looks like in practice when seafarers choose transparency and accountability from day one of their careers.
MACN is proud to work alongside LIMA’s leadership and faculty mentors to bring this effort to life, and looks forward to deepening this collaboration as we expand the program across the Philippines’ maritime education community.
