MACN collects and processes your personal data for different purposes as described in the following.
Website Visitors
We may request cookies to be set on your device. For this, we rely on your consent, which you can change at any given time on our website.
Newsletter Subscription
If you sign up to our newsletter, we will process your email address and name. For this, we rely on our consent, which you can withdraw at any given time by contacting us directly or using the link in the bottom of each newsletter email you receive from us.
Managing Memberships
To manage the relationship and stay in contact with all Maritime Anti-Corruption Network members, we will process personal data relating to our members’ employees. This will include name, contact details, employer, job title and other business-related information provided by you as employee to us. For this, we rely on our legitimate interest in running Maritime Anti-Corruption Network and managing our relationship with our members. We have assessed that our interest in processing the personal data overrides your interests.
Supplier Relations and Other Business Contacts
As part of your communication and interaction with us, whether as a supplier or as another business contact, collect and process personal data about you for the purpose of managing our relationship with you and/or the company that you work for. This will include name, contact details, employer, job title and other business-related information provided by you as employee to us. For this, we rely on our legitimate interest in running Maritime Anti-Corruption Network and managing our relationship with you and/or the company that you work for. We have assessed that our interest in processing the personal data overrides your interests.
Erasure of Personal Data
Your personal data will be deleted when we no longer need to process it for one or more of the purposes above. However, we may process and store statistical data longer in anonymised form.
Security and Storage of Personal Information and Data
We have taken technical and organisational measures to prevent your data from being accidentally or illegally erased, published, lost or impaired, or from being disclosed to unauthorised persons, abused or otherwise processed contrary to legislation. Only MACN employees who need the data have access to this data.
Disclosure of Data
We will generally not share your personal data with third parties. However, your personal data will be processed by our IT service providers under our instruction, which occasionally may lead to transfer of your personal data to locations outside the EU/EEA. The level of data protection as currently applied and enforced in such countries may not conform to the level within the European Union, in which case all transfers will be subject to the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
