Shaping Integrity-Driven Careers Across India’s Maritime Institutes
Imagine if integrity was the first lesson every seafarer learned.
Last week, our Maritime Expert, Nilesh Murdeshwar visited three leading maritime institutes in Goa, India, engaging over 300 cadets at Sea Scan Marine Services Pvt Ltd, NUSI Maritime Academy – Goa, and the Institute of Maritime Studies Goa as part of MACN’s Next Generation of Seafarers program.
Supported by the ITF Seafarers’ Trust, this initiative equips young seafarers and maritime educators across India, Bangladesh, and the Philippines with the tools to recognise, resist, report, and record corruption. For too many, it begins on day one of their career.
Discussions covered Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) rights, anti-corruption awareness, and building ethical maritime careers from the ground up.
Thank you to the leadership and faculty at all three institutions for their dedication to shaping the next generation of integrity-driven maritime professionals!
