Three New Ways to Access Port Corruption Data
Today, we’re introducing three new tools designed to make corruption intelligence accessible and actionable.
1. New Dashboards
We’ve completely redesigned our member dashboards. Members can now see at a glance which ports are highest risk, what types of corruption are most common, and which actors are most likely to demand bribes. All data is sorted and searchable, enabling teams to make decisions faster. MACN members can access this starting today in the member area.
2. Corruption Alerts in Your Pre-Arrival Emails
When vessels submit pre-arrival notifications, they now automatically receive targeted intelligence about the port they’re heading to. The corruption data arrives directly in the email response with no extra steps or new logins required. Crews can review port-specific risks before arrival and prepare accordingly.
3. The API: Direct Access to Corruption Intelligence
We’ve built an API that creates a direct connection between MACN’s corruption database and the systems maritime companies already use. If a company uses voyage planning, risk assessment, compliance tools, or other software, the API enables them to pull corruption intelligence directly into those systems.
Members can layer this intelligence onto everything else they’re tracking, all integrated into their existing workflow.
Real Example: One member is already exploring the API to send port risk alerts directly to their vessels in real-time. They’re also investigating how to use artificial intelligence to transform the corruption data into natural language briefs, so crews receive easy-to-understand summaries rather than raw data, all embedded within their own systems.
